Alysha Pamphile is a budding filmmaker and storyteller from Orange, NJ, whose journey reflects resilience, growth, and a passion for purpose-driven work. Alysha’s creative roots began in ballet, but her path shifted in 2006 after a life-changing year. Following the sudden passing of her father, she left college and entered the workforce. Determined to regain control of her future, she returned to school, earning degrees in Communications and Video Production, where she discovered her love for capturing meaningful stories.
Her career launched with an internship at HOT 97, where she became a Video Producer, contributing to some of the station’s most notable content. She further honed her skills at the Associated Press and spent five years at Complex Networks as an Integrated Producer. Today, Alysha works as a Content Production Lead at Wieden+Kennedy, one of the world’s leading advertising agencies.
Alysha’s passion extends beyond her professional work. As a co-founder of Black Girl Podcast, she explored sisterhood, pop culture, and the experiences of Black women navigating their careers throughout the life span of show. She also serves as a cinematographer and editor for Colin Kaepernick’s “Know Your Rights Camp,” advocating for justice and equity through storytelling.
Inspired by her own journey of healing and therapy, Alysha is now dedicated to creating projects that amplify underrepresented voices and inspire mental wellness. “The journey you thought you were going to take is not the journey you’re supposed to have,” she says—a mantra that reflects her dedication to embracing life’s unexpected paths.
